What we collect

• Anonymous play session ID (random UUID, no PII)
• Email address — only if you create an account
• Game results: guesses, scores, completion time
• League membership (if you join one)
• Basic analytics: page views and game starts (anonymous, no IP retention)

What we don't collect

• IP addresses (beyond standard infra logging, deleted within 30 days)
• Device fingerprinting
• Third-party tracking pixels or social-network embeds
• Anything you typed that wasn't a guess

Third-party services

We use Supabase (database + auth), Cloudflare Pages (hosting + CDN), and Datamuse (word lookups). Their privacy policies apply to data passing through them.

Word definitions and origins link out to Merriam-Webster and Etymonline. These are external sites with their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Delete your account anytime via Settings (coming soon) — purges all plays, stats, and league memberships within 30 days. Email us if you need this done manually.

Cookies

We store auth session and theme preferences in localStorage. No tracking cookies.
